Governors at Arrow Valley First School
Arrow Valley First school is part of the Central RSA Academies Trust. Full details of the trust governance arrangements are available on the CRSAAT website https://www.centralrsaacademies.co.uk/
Each school within the Trust has a group of governors who make up the local academy governing board. They work with the school leaders to help set strategy, outline the values and vision for the school, hold school leaders to account and ensure the team is working hard to provide the best education and experiences for all the children at school.
Governors sign a code of conduct and declare their relevant business interests which will be published here. Attendance at meetings is also logged and published. Being a school governor is a responsible and important role but it can also be hugely rewarding and worthwhile. Governors are offered training and development opportunities and some progress to take on Vice Chair and Chair roles, gaining valuable experience of committee work.
Our Chair of Governors at Arrow Valley First is Kayleigh Mapstone, she’s a parent governor and has been involved with the school since May 2018. Other governors may come from the community, local business, other education or healthcare establishments or further afield, but they all have skills experience and a commitment to giving back to the community and putting children first.
Full details of the local academy governing body will be available shortly. In the meantime if you are interested in becoming a governor here or at one of the other local CRSAAT schools, please contact Lucy Taylor on 0121 270 3119 or email email@example.com
