At Arrow Valley First School, we believe that the key to success for the members of our community lie in three areas, and it is my pleasure, as Principal, to share these with you:

1. Firstly, we are committed to the success of our young people as both learners in the classroom and beyond; we adopt a philosophy of ‘love to learn, and learn to love’ – this is therefore at the foundation of all which we do and is why we have an absolute focus on the ‘Attributes’ of our children, empowering them to embark on a journey of discovery of their learning and of their social skills as well as their contribution to the wider community. This is equally important for all members of our school community and as a staff body, we value open dialogue, honesty, integrity, and a holistic approach to the very well-being of everyone who is part of the Arrow Valley family.

2. Our second founding principle is that of ‘Consistency’; at Arrow Valley, we believe that the key to success lies in the ability for all members of our community to demonstrate an open, fair, and consistent approach to all which we do, and in all our shared endeavours.

3. Our third strand is of ‘Fluency’, which supports and underpins the development of our young people as confident, articulate, well-informed, open-minded, and value-driven members of their local community both within Redditch & Worcestershire, and through opportunities which present themselves where they will represent both themselves, and our wonderful school. We fundamentally believe that every pupil who comes to Arrow Valley deserves the very best in social and classroom skills, and fluent, confident young people are the bedrock of our community with our older pupils role-modelling our values to our younger children. A peer value driven system is at the foundation of all which we do.
